Website FAQs Back to top

I get lots of questions about my website. Here are some of the frequent ones....

Why do you have a website? Back to top

Web sites are one of the useful tools a good local member can use to communicate with constituents

My web site is an important tool for me to communicate information to constituents as well as hearing your views about local and state government issues.

How can I tell you what I think? Back to top

Simply email me following this link. This will open a browser window for you to send me your views.

What is an 'Online office'? Back to top

My Online Office facility is an exciting opportunity for you to have direct contact with me.

I will regularly advertise times when I am logged on to my email service. During these times you will know that I am able to receive and respond to your email messages as quickly as our servers can manage.

I might not always have an immediate solution but I will be able to respond directly and you will know your matter is receiving attention. We may even have an e-discussion about your views!

What is 'Subscribe for Enews' and why should I subscribe? Back to top

The Subscribe for Enews link provides you with an opportunity to be kept informed!

You can choose the information you would like to receive and I’ll be able to keep you up-to-date on your areas of interest.

Simply register for updates and indicate your areas of interest and I’ll be in touch!

So how often will I hear from you? Back to top

I will send you occasional e-newsletters on items of interest.

Apart from your web site, what other things do you do to communicate with constituents? Back to top

Not all people have access to the internet and many who do choose not to use the internet to communicate with their local member.

That’s why this web site is only one of the ways I meet with local people.

Other things I do include regular street stalls, doorknocking in local streets, writing to people directly, distributing newsletters by post and meeting people in my office or at their homes.

So how do I get to meet with you? Back to top

On this web site there is a Request for Meeting link.

By following this link you can print a meeting request form. Simply complete this form and send it to me using the free postal address.

Can’t I just ring your office? Back to top

Sure! The phone number is 9783 9822.

Why should I use Meeting Request? Back to top

The advantage of using Meeting Request is that you can indicate the best times to meet, your contact numbers and outline your concerns.

This will help me to meet you at a time suitable to you and to be prepared for our meeting.

Sometimes the diary of a local member is difficult to manage. By using Meeting Request my office can best schedule for us to meet at the most convenient time.

Why do you have a Community Survey link? Back to top

Completing my community survey helps me to learn about what is important to people in local communities.

Survey results enable me to determine important community issues and help me to advocate within government to address areas of concern.

You can print my survey and use my free postal address to send me your views.

Why do you ask for my name and address details on your survey form? Back to top

I want to make sure that I listen to the views of people who live in my local areas.

By completing these details I can be sure that survey results reflect the views of local people.

Why do you have a Volunteer! link? Back to top

My Volunteer! link enables people to get involved with my local campaigning activities.

The successful ability to communicate campaign messages is often reliant on volunteers assisting with a range of administrative and social activities.

Sometimes people volunteer in local members offices to help with community services and events. Some people simply like to be involved in helping people. Others like to be involved in political campaigning.

By volunteering I can help you be involved in your local community in a way that best suits your interests.

Why do you have a Contributions link? Back to top

My Contributions link enables people to find out about how to contribute to the ALP campaign in Frankston and provides important information about contributing.

That’s it? But I have more questions! Back to top
